Leave Everything Out in the Open

When it comes to kitchen remodeling, there’s one major trend that’s really catching on. That trend is open storage. While it used to be that people kept everything covered up and closed away in cabinets, now people are using their nicest plates, glasses, dishes, and the like as a way of adding to the décor of the room. When everyone can easily see the items that are normally put away, that’s considered open storage.

If you’d like to incorporate open storage into your kitchen remodeling job, think about substituting shelves for cabinets or, if you must have cabinets, opting for clear, glass fronts. Of course, you’ll have to carefully choose which dishes to display- usually items in the same color family as your room décor work well-, but if you do a good job, you can have a kitchen that looks brand new!
