Chalkboard Paint in the Kitchen

In recent years, people have been going crazy over chalkboard paint! While it’s long been a favorite for kids’ bedrooms, it hasn’t really leaked over into kitchen design…at least until now. Many homeowners have started including chalkboard paint in their kitchen renovation jobs. The most common places for the paint?

The outside of refrigerators or the inset panels of refrigerators, cabinet surfaces, and pantry doors! These are all great places for chalkboard paint, since the paint allows people to write grocery lists, leave quick messages for one another, and just do a little drawing when bored.

If you’re interested in using chalkboard paint for your next kitchen design plan, start looking at your kitchen and trying to discern the best surfaces for applying the paint. Obviously, you want a surface that’s relatively flat and that provides ample writing space.

For help deciding where to put your chalkboard paint or even for help making your kitchen more amenable to chalkboard paint, consider Kitchen Gallery of Denver.
